Alena has brought her 6 years of experience in environmental work to her position as the Water Quality Program Coordinator for the Skokomish Tribe. Her work includes water quality projects throughout the Skokomish River watershed located in Western, WA. Projects include water quality assessment, field monitoring, data management, quality assurance/control, planning and reporting, implementing shellfish protection and nonpoint pollution management. She has had tremendous success working with the Tribal Assistance Program to increase the Skokomish Water Quality Program's capacity to process data, incorporate additional datasets from outside our program, and automate reporting processes. Alena is here to apply her energy and enthusiasm to assist tribal staff get up to speed and able to utilize data management tools so that others can experience the same success.
